Culture is basically the beliefs, customs, roots, identity, settings, and cumulative knowledge associated with a particular society or community. LETS KEEP IT THAT WAY...
The change to implement a singular web based platform with multiple network access to the African Continents Savior and Transformation, already exist. It should not be ignored any longer.
Fear and uncertainty are the limitations we experience from lack of understanding the HOW. If, I, could use a previously successful transformation process that happened in the early 90's on a smaller scale but with massive impact. The newspaper company, I, first started my working career with, were the first I knew off, to implement technology in our country. The transformation virtually happened overnight and the pro's always vs the con's. The approach was an exact mirror of our experience today. The usage of the new generation in the company apprentices and students (Young Craftsmen) working at the company was inevitably the best approach and seen as pro's, in the implementation and to understand the use of the system "first". The con's were the elders with years of experience in the industry, who was gradually entertained by the pro's in the transformation period. Honestly a win win situation for this group of companies when they implemented, this technology system at a National level throughout their group.
Then also... Being introduced to the Microsoft of technologies at a very early stage of my career as well, I have become a strong follower of Mr. Gates and his organisations strategies. For example, a very big business segment in the world market is using Windows and MS Office on their desktop and laptop computers before android hit the market place, and they still hold strong on this platform with Polaris, which, previously they operated from more than one operating platform XP, Vista etc. It is only in the recent years that they themselves refined to a singular suggested operating system like Windows 7 and latest Windows 10. But our focus in the world now, is on Cloud Services. Green Technologies.
What is the point I am trying to make?
One needs a fair amount off knowledge to operate on these platforms and in its Software packages. Microsoft, took leaps of action to get individuals skilled from all over the world in their systems. They created experts and produced more experts by educating educational institutions all over the world to educate others in return. In our country the Basics to Microsoft technologies are offered in schools as a subject.
My four year old son already knows his way around my tablet to get to certain games he likes to play. I allow him certain times because its vital to his and our day of age knowledge, however he is only allowed a certain amount of time to this environment.
I am honored to be part in the Yali network and am grateful to be included into the African development process. Here is my reason... I am part of the biggest like-minded network in Social Media, with the same goals in mind.
However I must mention that it is not our cultural differences that is a challenge, per say. It is the availability of internet services on our Continent, I am aware that the South, East and West of Africa is connected to Optic and that the Central Republic of Congo are being connected, the cost and speed to end users are still massively impacted.
Then there is the implementation off a Continental Service that every 53 Countries will benefit from in various areas of their lives. Business, education, growth, the economies of all our 53 countries, Governance, climate change, Taxes, Health, etc.
There are already so many uses of Social and Business Networks platforms in circulation to achieve these goals. But they are not true African. I am now making my suggestion to the solution, to force, change onto our nations, in the same manner as I experienced and mentioned above.
iNfono.net Business Network (infrastructure), an proudly African project, to be implemented and used by Africans as Africa's preferred Search Engine in association with; LinkedIn (Business Connections), facebook (Marketing and Communication), Twitter (Marketing), g+ (News and Shares) and Skype as the preferred face to face communication tool. All these networks carry a certain expertise to our people.
This project will save the continent money, our environments and initiate success to our nations via social business connections from 1st order continents.
My question is, how do we as the Young African Leaders Forum, filter financial responsibilities, to comply with such an amazing task until completion? And what do you suggest as a time scale goal to achieve our 1st world order status? 2015 is needed!
